Third-Party and Model Notices
Open-source packages, bundled runtimes, model weights, local AI backends, and provider notices for OMEGA.
1. Summary
Notice version: 2026-07-12.1. OMEGA is a native macOS app with local-first execution. Some third-party components are bundled in the signed app. Other models are downloaded or selected by the user. In both cases, the applicable upstream license controls the third-party component.
2. Models and Local AI
Local AI notices cover embedded retrieval models, Omega-MLX chat models, MFLUX image models, local speech recognition, local voice, and OMEGA-generated adapters.
bge-small-en-v1.5 ONNX embedder
bundled model · memory
- Owner
- BAAI
- License
- Upstream Hugging Face model license
Bundled for local memory and brain retrieval. The bundle includes model.onnx, tokenizer.json, and config.json.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Model license and model card terms govern use and redistribution.
- OMEGA must preserve source attribution for the bundled model assets.
Local MLX chat models
downloaded model · local ai
- Owner
- Individual Hugging Face model publishers
- License
- Per-model Hugging Face model card license
Covers mlx-community models and any Hugging Face cached model discovered by Omega-MLX.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Each downloaded model may have different commercial, redistribution, attribution, and acceptable-use terms.
- OMEGA should snapshot the model card/license before enabling a model for use.
- If a model license is missing or incompatible, OMEGA should warn or block installation instead of implying availability.
OMEGA-generated LoRA adapters
downloaded model · local ai
- Owner
- User and base-model licensors
- License
- Derived from user data rights and base model license
Covers ADAPT and any local fine-tuning artifact created from user-authorized data.
Restrictions and handling
- Adapters inherit restrictions from the selected base model license.
- Users are responsible for rights in files, memories, brain data, and other training data they authorize OMEGA to use.
- Adapters should not be exported or shared unless the base model and training data licenses allow it.
3. Runtime Packages
OMEGA bundles and vendors runtime packages so the native Mac app can run locally. Package notices must be regenerated from the signed build manifests for each release.
MLX local inference runtime
runtime package · local ai
- Owner
- Apple / MLX project maintainers
- License
- Upstream package licenses
Covers bundled mlx and mlx-lm packages used by Omega-MLX for local chat/completions.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Runtime package licenses govern redistribution in the native app bundle.
- Apple Silicon support and package compatibility are device-dependent.
MLX Whisper speech recognition
runtime package · voice
- Owner
- MLX Whisper maintainers and upstream Whisper model publishers
- License
- Upstream package and model licenses
Used for local STT when the user selects Local / MLX Speech Recognition.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Speech model weights and runtime packages carry their own upstream licenses.
- Downloaded speech models must show their model-card license before installation or update.
MLX Audio and Kokoro local voice
runtime package · voice
- Owner
- MLX Audio, Kokoro, Misaki, and espeak-ng maintainers
- License
- Upstream package, voice model, and data licenses
Covers local neural TTS, bundled misaki[en], and vendored espeak-ng dylibs/data used by local voice.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Voice model, phonemizer, and pronunciation data licenses govern redistribution and commercial use.
- System voice fallback is governed by macOS platform terms when enabled.
MFLUX local image backend
runtime package · image
- Owner
- MFLUX maintainers and supported image model publishers
- License
- Upstream package and per-model licenses
Used by Omega-MLX to expose local MLX image generation as a provider-agnostic image provider.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- MFLUX package license governs the backend code.
- FLUX, Qwen-Image, Z-Image, Stable Diffusion, SDXL, SD3, and other local image model licenses govern weights and outputs.
- Image model license should be shown before download because terms vary materially by model.
Bundled Python runtime and Python packages
native binary · desktop runtime
- Owner
- Python Software Foundation and package maintainers
- License
- Python license and package-specific open-source licenses
Covers the bundled Python 3.12 runtime and agent/local voice/runtime site-packages.
Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Bundled Python and site-packages require preservation of applicable open-source notices.
- Transitive package licenses must be regenerated from the bundled lock/package set for each release.

Covers Next, React, Fastify, Tauri, Tauri plugins, Stripe SDK, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, Playwright, XTerm, XYFlow, and related dependencies.
Restrictions and handling
- Direct and transitive package notices must be generated from npm and Cargo manifests for each signed release.
- Native dependencies may carry additional binary redistribution notices.

Upstream sourceRestrictions and handling
- Browser binary redistribution notices must be preserved when Chromium is bundled.
- Browser automation may also be subject to target website terms and user authorization requirements.
4. Provider Integrations
OMEGA integrates with third-party AI providers, app connectors, billing systems, communication platforms, and image providers. Those services are controlled by their owners, not OMEGA.

- License
- Asset-specific licenses
Covers bundled skill packs, Automation templates, fonts, icons, screenshots, demo assets, and public website assets.
Restrictions and handling
- Third-party skills, templates, fonts, icons, and media require attribution or removal when license terms are incompatible.
- Imported community skill packs must retain their own notices when distributed.
5. Downloaded Models
5.1 Model-card license snapshots
If OMEGA downloads, discovers, or enables a Hugging Face or local model, the model should expose its model card/license before installation or first use. If a model license is missing, incompatible, or unclear, OMEGA should not imply that the model is commercially safe to use.
5.2 User-selected and user-trained models
Users are responsible for the models they install, the files and memories they authorize for training, and downstream use of model outputs. OMEGA-generated LoRA/adapters inherit restrictions from the selected base model and the user-authorized training data.
6. Questions
Questions about a third-party notice, model license, attribution, or copyright issue should be sent through the legal contact form.
